1. Who we are

EdgeRetail is a product of Redesign Business LLC, a New York-incorporated company (registered office: New York, NY, USA). EdgeRetail is built on the EdgeSignal platform. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Redesign Business LLC.

2. What data we process

EdgeRetail processes two categories of data:

• Video feeds (processed locally, never transmitted): Raw video from your store cameras is processed in real time on the AI Gateway device installed in your store. This processing generates operational metrics. The raw video stream is not uploaded to our cloud infrastructure.
• Operational intelligence data: The structured output of local AI processing — queue wait times, shelf gap detections, POS anomaly flags, brand compliance scores — is transmitted securely to your EdgeRetail dashboard. This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII) and no biometric identifiers.

We also collect standard account and usage data: account registration information (name, email, company), dashboard usage logs, and support communications.

3. Edge AI processing — no cloud video

The EdgeRetail AI Gateway device is installed on your premises. All computer vision inference runs locally on this device. Video is analyzed in real time and immediately discarded; it is never stored on the device beyond the processing window nor transmitted to any external server.

This architecture is a core design principle — not a feature toggle — and is the basis for our GDPR, CCPA, and BIPA compliance certifications.

4. Biometric data (BIPA compliance)

EdgeRetail does not collect, store, or transmit biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) or comparable state laws. Our computer vision models analyze motion, spatial positioning, and behavioral patterns — they do not identify, verify, or profile individuals by face, fingerprint, or other biometric means.

5. How we use data

• Deliver the EdgeRetail service to your organization
• Generate operational alerts and dashboard reporting
• Provide customer support and platform maintenance
• Improve platform accuracy using aggregated, anonymized model performance metrics

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your store's operational data to train third-party AI models or share it with other EdgeRetail customers.

6. Data retention

Operational intelligence data (queue metrics, alerts, compliance scores) is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days. After contract termination, all customer data is deleted within 30 days upon request. Raw video is never retained — it is processed and discarded in real time on the AI Gateway device.

7. Security

EdgeRetail and the underlying EdgeSignal platform maintain the following security certifications:

• SOC 2 Type II — security, availability, and confidentiality controls independently audited
• ISO 27001 — information security management system certification
• PCI DSS Ready — infrastructure designed to meet payment card industry standards

8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@redesignbiz.com. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents: under CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information).

9. Cookies and analytics

The EdgeRetail marketing website (edgeretail.ai) may use analytics tools to understand site traffic. No tracking cookies are used on the EdgeRetail dashboard application. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
